The World Bodypainting Festival with the Asian Awards will be held in ‘Colorful Daegu’ in August 2008 for the first time and connect the rapidly growing Asian bodypainting industry to its partners all around the world.
The festival week begins on the 25 of August. Much of what people know from the main event in Austria will be carried on in South Korea.

The festival week starts on the 25th August. Before the main days we provide a big program with workshops, side events and parties at different locations.
The shrill fantasy ball “BodyCircus” will also be the main attraction in the Asian festival week in 2008, on the 27th August in the event hall of the "Novotel" hotel (Downtown Daegu). The visitors will show up in fantasy costumes combined with bodypainting, decoration and masks up to extreme make up and fantasy fashion.
The main days of the Asian festival are from Friday to Sunday, 29-31 August. The artists start painting in the stadium and later in the day the artwork is judged by a professional jury. The models are then presented to the audience on the big stage. During the day lots of music and show acts are presented. There are music concerts on program till evening. |

With the evanescent art on the body, photography is an essential part of the Asian festival.
For photographers especially we offer the “photo ticket” to get access to the restricted photo contest area (Photo Award Area). This area consists of different backgrounds and requisites.
All models come into this area when finishing and photographers can record their fantastic images here. Every participant can take part in the photo contest as well.
Photos are sent to an international jury. Out of all entries we produce the photo catalogue, which will be sent to all participants for free.
