WBF 2010 DJ's

21st September 1991 - a date firmly fixed in music history. Ministry of Sound, inspired by New York's cavernous House venues, opened it's doors at 10:00 PM. Raised from what was once a bustling bus garage now derelict in the heart of ‘saff' London, an area more infamous than famous.
Despite the lack of lager and fearsome location people arrived in droves. Within a matter of weeks word had spread that something special had landed smack in the middle of London's nightlife. This was the first club dedicated to House music, the first club inspired by rave's ‘summer of love' and most importantly the world's first ever club with a dedicated room built purely for sound.
To this day, sound is what epitomises Ministry of Sound and all it stands for. As now we spread the dance music gospel around the world you can experience the essence of what we do but there's nothing quite like experiencing the "Ministry of Sound" feeling live.
Play at Ministry of Sound as a DJ and this is Madison Square Garden - put simply, there is no better possibility on Earth to hear and feel the world's greatest DJ's play the world's best music than with Ministry of Sound!
Fast-forward to today. The importance of super hi-fi sound has not diminished and neither has the passion for dance music in all its forms. But as pioneers of dance, whether it's the music or culture variety, we're keener than ever to preach our dance music mantra across the planet.

In 1991 you had to be at Ministry of Sound in London to experience the euphoria - today, whether you're listening, feeling, watching, wearing, downloading or browsing anything Ministry of Sound one thing remains true - the best music and the best sound bar none, and it is coming to Austria!

Matt Emulsion (real name Matthew Smith) has been a recognised face at the World Body Painting Festival since 2004. He began his DJ career at the tender age of 12 years old and landed his first residency at the age of 15 playing soul, funk, and House music.

Matt is the sort of DJ that can rock any party, and whatever the genre of House he always delivers. Although a seriously technical DJ he also has the ability to entertain the crowd and work them into a frenzy. Having built up a reputation as a versatile and eclectic DJ this has enabled him to play many different styles of music but always having a strong house foundation behind his music, all this and he is a very humble guy.

In Matt's own words:"I love all styles of dance music, some my earliest memory's where when I was 5 years old and listening to soul and disco records in my sister's bedroom, after that I got into Hip Hop and by the time 1987 came around I was heavily into the Acid House\Rave scene, this was when a friend of mine got his first decks and that's when I first started dj-ing."

Udo Moritz was an inspiring influence for founding the"WBF Institute of Sound". His feel for music, his vision and his dedication were already a large part of the festival and will have a growing influence in areas of the event.

Udo began as a DJ in 1989 playing in small pubs in Spittal, South of Austria. The first real mixing techniques were learned very young. Over the years he has played almost all musical dirrections that have been important in the club scene but always with a central core of house music in all its facets inspiring him further. He has played for audiences of thousands in Austria as well as in the World Cup stadium in South Korea.

At this point in time Udo selects gigs that offer him interesting opportunites to experiment in his chosen musical area. For many years Udo has tried to pass on his musical knowledge and experience to interested followers in the dj field. In teaching he has found a new inspiration to hold him to the house music comunity. Working together with the "WBF Institute of Sound", international activities and workshops to the theme of DJing and music will be held.

Tony Mc Tonik discovered his love for music, especially hip hop and early rap records, when he was only 11 years old. He carried on listening to various styles of music over the years and is now still predominantly a drum and base mc but over the years has also had signings to various labels with hip hop and grime releases. He says himself that "anything I can vocalise, I will vocalise" and has been on the mic with that attitude for 17 years now.
"music is my life and my life is music" is Tony Mc Tonik´s attitude in life.

Slimm Bubba has been Dj' in for over 5 Years, He has been involved in music production for over 2 years. If you are one of the lucky ones to have caught His Radio show on Force fm 106.5, You realise he has unique technique in mixing that has spread to his music production, which is catchy and distinctive, Slim has played in some of Essex and London's finest venues as well as some unruly places but according to slim "As long as the crowds happy so am I". „I just love dropping those classic anthems that make everybody dance ". All that is left to say is this is a name to watch in production and Dj' in.

Andy Rythm (real Name: Andreas Glanzer) started his Dj career at the age of 13 in a small Room with two turntables at his parents house.
The first time Andy showed his sense for music, in front of audience, was in a club at his hometown in the year 2002. At this time Andy wasn't older than 16, but however, he was one part of the resident Dj team.After numerous national and international gigs, his first single was released in 2008. He tried to work with different kinds of music like Trance, Hands Up and so on. In his 8 year long career as Dj, Andy found his true love „house-music". Only with this music he can give his inspirations to the audience.Because of that, Andy released in 2009 his first House-Single - with the pseudonym „Philipe Ramos"
This was only the first step, and in 2010 you will get the continuance with more gigs and singles than ever before ;-)

From a very young age Lee was always listening to London Pirate radio stations, intrigue was found in not only the amazing and unique sound that is only found on ‘pirate' radio, but also the mystique of the studios and realising the fact that the origin of club and pop songs and samples in the charts had filtered down from the underground roots of the Pirate DJ's.
I was hooked from the age of 12 and by 15 had managed to get a Vinyl Record mixing lesson from one the Craziest guys in radio, DJ Amusement. I bought my first set of decks second hand Soundlab DLP-1 and then came the Vinyl.
I started mixing Jungle Drum and Bass after going to my first rave, and still I love the Bass, but for my first set on FORCEFM I had' to mix UK Garage to fit in with the other DJs and somehow I would always be able to sneak in a few of my DnB records...!!! To this day I love to surprise, inspire and make my party people sit up and listen to something a bit different in my sets; I love the different levels, emotions and rhythms of music and enjoy delivering some of these feeling on the dance floor.
Iv been Lucky enough to DJ in some very exciting clubs some outrageous venues and beautiful countries, now i am able to add the Body Painting festival to this long list and the last 3 years at the festival grounds by the lake iv really felt mellow and at home in Seeboden. Every year I just can not wait for the next BodyCircus. Like my sets it has to be seen to believed, so I guess ill see you there...!

Sound fusion is a joint venture of club experienced and professional deejays from Carinthia. The formations of the carinthian musicians provide music of any electronic genre. Every member counts with a lot of experience in music and Deejay - business and have a lot of know how. The success is reflected in continuous bookings for the established clubs in whole Austria. Stuart has been dj-ing since the age of 12 years old and was listening to dance music long before that, he was inspired by early Soul/Funk, Hip Hop and artists such as U.T.F.O., Man Parish, Curtis Mantronix, Aretha Franklyn, the list could go on. He has become well known for his extremely smooth mixing style and tune selection that guarantees to get even the most shy of dancers flinging there arms around like a mad man. He has played at many well known clubs and events, Matt calls him Mr Reliable as he always plays a good set.

Carinthian DJ/Producer and Actor
ClasH is well known for crossing borders in his very own style of sound!
Actually based in Vienna.He is part and host of a DJ and producer Community called TAKEABREAK and resident DJ@VIENNA BREAKS CLUB as well

Since three years Dj LUvrée (real name: Kristof Grandits) is going round the music scene as a welcome seen actor in Austria. In that time he has already achieved a lot, such as bookings in Vienna Flex, "The Box" at the Hilton Vienna, Loco Sound Club in Villach, Headliner of Hennesy del Prado's club series AHA AHA! Resident Dj in the Garage Spittaland his own event series the "Galaxy Quest Club Night" wich he may see as his main references. Despite the short time in the DJ business, he is one of the most aspiring artists of Carinthia. His performances have become legendary because apart from House / Electro & French Techno he includes other elements such as acapellas and samples in his sets. Great emphasis he puts on his philosophy: "As a DJ I can express myself through music and give a part of me even more to the audience." In his event series he welcomes the best Austrian deejays and he rocks the crowd together with them behind the turntables.

Gio Deejay (real name: Hannes Gigler) since 4 years are working as an enthusiastic DJ, started has it all at the age of 16 years in a Club (G2) in the vicinity of his home town, Seeeboden.Since those days to find him every weekend behind the turntables to inspire the masses, he loves to play for the people and celebrate with them. A good mix of House, Electro, Dirty Dutch and Hip Hop is his secret with which he brings the people to dance and rock.According to national and international appearances came in the spring of 2009, the first single with the co-production of Danny Suko (real name: Tobias Tinnacher) the summershitof 2002 by "ATC", Around the World - has been revised and put into a new garment suitable for 2009, with House and Electro remixes. Since 2009 Gio has sunswept with his DJ colleagues, Ben Thair (real name: Florian Bodner) his own music studio and raised - where are they mainly in House, Electro and Trance sector. This goes far beyond over the produce, such as voices recording, jingle production, remixes and more. These were the first steps, but for 2010 the second single is already back in the starting blocks, be curious and keep eye out for Gio Deejay.
